The Oklahoma City Council has ratified a new contract with police officers.

The one-year deal includes across-the-board raises of 1.1 percent, said Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 123 President John George.

Police ratified the deal in voting last week.

The contract will cover 1,037 FOP members and is retroactive to July 1, 2014.

The city also has settled a new contract with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, representing 1,377 of the city’s 4,808 employees.

Negotiations continue on a new contract for the 942 union firefighters.

Tuesday’s council vote in favor of the new police contract was unanimous.
