CORPUS CHRISTI – Here’s a follow-up on a story we reported yesterday.

The city and the Corpus Christi Firefighters Association have been at odds lately.

The fire union, was seeking more firemen, and a new fire station in the latest contract negotiations.

But those talks ended on May 21st, after the city said the Union’s billboard and website campaigns, violated the ground rules set for the contract.

Yesterday, a judge ruled the billboards could stay up but ordered the union to take down website postings asking the public to support it’s position.

When we checked the fire associations website this morning, this is all that was posted.

Under the judge’s order, the website will be down until June 10th, which is when the current negotiation period officials ends.

Despite the compliance on the website, the city still suing the firefighters union.
