ATLANTA GA (WAOK)-The matter of firefighters and cops feuding with Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed over not getting a pay raise this year continues. The publicsafety unions even rented some billboard space this summer to chide to bring further exposure to the lawsuit .
The lawsuit against the city challenges the mayor’s 2011 pension reform, a move that cost public safety employees 5 percent more. Mayor Reed has steadfastly refused to give public safety workers a raise while the lawsuit lives. (It lost the first round and is on appeal.)
I spoke with Mayor Reed who suggested that Ken Allen (who he called out by name) has not done right by the union and has done little to help further it’s intent .
Take a look and listen in as Ken Allen Fires back after having seen Mayor Reed’s comments on the lawsuit in an earlier Mike Moore” Video Reports.”
